In the ideal world everyone would have a Personal Trainer. Personal training is the best way to achieve your desired results. One of the main reasons why people do not go to the gym even though they pay a monthly membership is because they need a coach to help guide them towards their goals. You can get a coach for everything these days and due to the complexity of our lives we need coaches to help manage our priorities and values. The key is finding the right coach for you!
Brien Shamp can coach you through your program giving you constant technique monitoring, motivation, and an increased commitment to your workout. You will work out harder, more consistently, and more efficiently than you would on your own. There will be no wasted time wondering what to do next. You will also progress faster because your program will be changed more frequently, given the goals of the program have been accomplished.
In addition, given Brien is a Massage Therapist and Nutrition/Lifestyle Coach, sessions are not just exercise based. Brien will do whatever it takes for you to achieve your goals. A typical session for a client that has stress and pain incorporates massage work on a treatment table and an inquiry about stress and dietary intake which helps Brien fine tune the exercise program of the day/week or month.
Many people think that high intensity exercise is the solution for weight and fat loss issues. There is a science to exercise and goal achievement and not everyone will benefit from high intensity movements. Many will even gain weight as the body can only handle so much stress and the physiology does not know the different between stress at work, traffic, lack of sleep, dehydration, low blood sugar, exercise, etc. Allow Brien to Coach you. It doesn’t have to be that hard with a good Coach and when there is good communication between the Trainer and client.
If your budget is tight consider partner and small group training. This could be for a group of friends, a couple, or anyone who wants to work with another to save money. If you do not know anyone that wants to train with you, we may be able to find other people who may want to train at the same time that you do. If you have ever wanted to continue working with a trainer, but felt you just couldn’t afford it, this program is for you.
Most personal training sessions are 30 minutes in duration because:
- They are more time efficient
- 30 minutes is all that is really needed when performing the right program
- Adherence is better
- The sessions are less expensive
Brien Shamp has minimal hours available for Personal Training, but has approximately 15 Personal Trainers that he refers to, so he can match you up with the perfect Trainer for you.
Clients will be matched with a Personal Trainer based upon the client’s needs, trainer availability and client/trainer compatibility. Brien will oversee the training program if a comprehensive evaluation is scheduled, so he can get to know the client.

The Comprehensive Evaluation is highly recommended for all training programs given this is the best way to personalize your program.
Another option for group training is the Fit Body Boot Camp. This program is for those that want to decrease body fat, weight firm & tone the body. The structure is similar to a personal training session given there is variety, purpose, coaching, motivation and socialization. The program is 5 days per week with a free class on Saturdays. The program is also the most affordable given it is in a group environment.
